Initial Configuration
Set up your Timecrack account after your first login to get the best experience.
First Login
After installation, log in with the default administrator credentials:
- Email:
admin@example.org - Password:
12345678
Important: Change the default password immediately after your first login. Navigate to your profile settings and set a strong, unique password.
Change Your Password
To change your password:
- Click on your profile name or avatar in the navigation
- Select Profile or Settings
- Enter your current password and your new password
- Click Save
Set Up Your Profile
Complete your profile by configuring:
- Your display name
- Email address
- Language preferences
Configure Your Timezone
Setting the correct timezone is essential for accurate time tracking. Navigate to your profile settings and select your timezone from the dropdown. All time entries and reports will use this timezone.
Tip: If your team spans multiple timezones, each user should set their own timezone. Reports will normalize times accordingly.
Create Your First Project
Once your account is configured, create your first project to start tracking time:
- Navigate to Projects
- Click New Project
- Enter a project name and optional description
- Click Save
- Add tasks within the project to categorize your work
